We are looking for:

• Independent, small-scale, or solo game developers based in India.

• Studios that have raised total funding of under USD 500,000.

• Developers looking for a platform to promote their games and build wishlists.

• A release date/window within 6 months of the event (before or after).

• Must be in a polished enough state to be shown publicly. Therefore, we would not recommend sending prototypes or "proof of concept" builds.

• A downloadable and playable public demo (e.g., on Steam or Itch.io).

• An official game trailer (link required).

What is the IndieVerse Showcase at GamingCon?

IndieVerse Showcase at GamingCon is an initiative in partnership with Gamedev India that brings together and promotes the best games from Indian independent game developers. The showcase provides an opportunity for indie developers to exhibit their games to thousands of GamingCon visitors. The Indie Showcase featured 12 games at GamingCon 2024,15 games at GamingCon 2025 and is set to return to GamingCon 2026. 

What is GamingCon

GamingCon is India’s largest games festival, featuring leading brands, esports tournaments, cosplay competitions, creator meet-and-greets, conferences and more. The two-day festival features leading brands like PlayStation, Ubisoft, AMD, Logitech, Red Bull, HyperX, and more. The second edition of GamingCon will take place on 29-30 November 2025 in Mumbai.

What is Gamedev India?

Gamedev India is India’s oldest and largest volunteer-run game developer community. Since 2009, it has worked towards enabling Indian game developers to promote their games, provide support, and build a strong community that helps each other and pushes the domain forward. Its activities include organizing events, meetups, game jams, workshops, talks, demo days, studio crawls and many more. Gamedev India’s mission is to empower Indian game creators by promoting their work and building a sustainable ecosystem for the Indian games industry. How do I apply?

Simply fill out the application form on the GamingCon website with all the necessary details. Our selection jury will then assess your application and reach out to you if your game has been shortlisted.

What happens if I’m selected?

Once you’re selected, we will request additional information over email along with your confirmation of being available in person at the event.

Can I showcase my game at GamingCon even if I'm not selected for Indieverse?

We have a limited number of slots available for the Indie Showcase, so not all applicants can be selected. However, you do also have the option to participate at GamingCon as an exhibitor. You can reach out to the GamingCon team here to find out more.

Can I submit a game for any platform?

Yes! We are more than happy to feature games that are available or soon to be launched on mobile, PC and/or consoles. While we are also open to applications for VR/AR/XR games, selection will be decided on a case-by-case basis depending on space availability.

Can I submit more than one game?

Yes! But please note that we will allow a maximum of two entries per studio/developer. If you are a publisher, you are free to submit as many entries as you would like, while still limiting it to two games per studio/developer.

How will you evaluate the games for selection?

We have clearly defined eligibility criteria for studios and games to participate at the showcase. In addition to these criteria, we also have a panel of respected and experienced luminaries from the Industry who will go through each submission to select the most promising games that will benefit from exposure to this sizable player pool close to their release dates.

How many games are you planning to shortlist for the showcase?

In an attempt to ensure that only the best games are selected for the Indie Showcase, we are currently opening up applications for 20 games/developers.

What is the cost of participation if my game is selected?

If selected, your space at the Indie Showcase will be free of cost, including branding and booth essentials listed above. However, this does not include other costs associated with your presence at GamingCon, such as travel and accommodation, equipment, transportation expense – these will have to be borne by you.

Do I need to bring my own hardware for the showcase?

Yes. All shortlisted developers will be responsible to arrange for the necessary hardware required to successfully execute their showcases. Other than the basic setup described in the booth perks above, we will not provide any other hardware or materials.

To assist with special hardware needs, we will provide you with our vendor’s contact information to rent specific hardware devices for your booth. We will not be involved in this commercial transaction in any form.

What is done with my submitted data?

We are only collecting specific information about your studio, game and contact information to communicate the outcome of this application process. We collect and store this information as per the GamingCon Privacy Policy

Will there be an awards show or ceremony of games participating in the showcase?

Since last year, we have been organizing the GamingCon IndieVerse Award. GamingCon visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite game at the Indie Showcase. The game with the most votes at the end of two days will be presented with the GamingCon Indieverse Award.
